Job Title: Senior Medical Secretary - Anaesthetic Clinical Team

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Medical Secretary to join our Anaesthetic Clinical Team at James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will provide a highly efficient medical administrative service to the Anaesthetic Clinical Team, overseeing the admitted pathway and waiting lists for the Department and Division, in accordance with Trust guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to the Anaesthetic Clinical Team, including managing waiting lists and admitted pathways
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of administrative tasks, including data entry and record-keeping
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of administrative processes and procedures
Requirements:
  • Significant secretarial experience in a clinical environment, as defined in the person specification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and AMSPAR qualification
  • Flexible approach to working practices and ability to work as part of a team
