Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our client's team as a Service Engineer on a full-time, permanent contract. As a Service Engineer, you will provide on-site technical support to customers, ensuring that products are serviced and supported effectively, professionally, and according to contract and process.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support on company products, including servicing, testing, installation, modification, user training, and commissioning at customer sites.
- Ensure that products are serviced and supported effectively, professionally, and according to contract and process.
- Contribute to the continual development and improvement of procedures, practices, and approaches for product support and service.
- Deal with customer issues and technical problems promptly and effectively, ensuring high satisfaction levels at all times.
- Discuss product and service satisfaction levels with customers on site, ensuring that problems and issues are reported back and effectively actioned.
- Help identify product opportunities at sites visited, passing leads and opportunities to the sales manager.
- Assist other departments in trials, tests, and customer demonstrations, producing reports as appropriate.
- Ensure strict compliance with both the company's and all customers' health and safety policies at all times, undertaking appropriate training as and when necessary.
Requirements:
- Excellent technical skills across a range of engineering disciplines.
- Willingness to travel.
- Ability to drive.
- Effective problem-solving and fault-finding abilities.
- Good communication skills, both internally and externally to the organization.
- Well-organized and good attention to detail.
