About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team at The Copse, providing inpatient rehabilitation for men with mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Clinical Governance: Provide clinical leadership and oversight of the service user care pathway from assessment and admission until discharge.
  • Collaboration and Liaison: Liaise and collaborate with care co-ordinators, commissioners, families, and carers, as well as other services and agencies.
  • Mental Health Act Implementation: Implement the Mental Health Act and liaise with the Ministry of Justice as required.
  • Clinical Leadership: Provide clinical leadership of the service and play a key role in the clinical governance of the hospital.
  • Multi-Disciplinary Working: Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to service users.
Requirements
  • Medical Qualification: MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • Full GMC Registration: Full GMC registration with a licence to practice.
  • MRCPsych or Equivalent: MRCPsych or equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
  • Section 12(2) Approval: Hold Section 12(2) approval to work in England and Approved clinician status.
  • Experience: Experience in General Adult or rehabilitation settings and have experience of working in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Skills: Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients and experience of working within acute inpatient or community settings.
