Job Title: Head of New Goods

Barnardo's is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to fill the role of Head of New Goods. This position is responsible for the management of Barnardo's trading, buying, and merchandising activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of the Trading Team through effective coaching and regular meetings.
  • Manage the buying and merchandising team, ensuring deadlines are met and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Oversee the annual audit process to ensure compliance with external auditor standards.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Strategic Lead to implement, manage, and update new reporting and forecasting tools to optimize stock allocation.
  • Analyze data to inform accurate buying decisions and ensure efficient allocation of stock to stores and online platforms.
  • Use sales analysis to purchase a commercial range suitable for Barnardo's online customers and build on successes.
Requirements:
  • Graduate or relevant discipline (business, marketing, mathematics, or management) is preferred.
  • Understanding of web design and web analytics software.
  • Digital marketing experience.
  • Knowledge of financial practices and ability to apply them.
  • Experience in marketing and technology.
  • Ability to make decisions and lead a team.
