About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Programme Director to join our team at AQA. As a key member of our Programme and Project Management department, you will play a critical role in delivering our strategic programmes and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Programme Management: Develop and implement effective programme management strategies to ensure successful delivery of our strategic programmes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives and programme sponsors.
  • Resource Allocation: Effectively allocate resources across multiple projects within the programme to optimize performance and achieve strategic objectives.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with programme delivery, ensuring that programmes are delivered within agreed budgets and timelines.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing team of programme and project managers, providing guidance and support to ensure successful programme delivery.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience in leading large-scale, high-value, strategically important programmes and projects to successful conclusion.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members and other colleagues.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to senior stakeholders.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business acumen, with the ability to develop and implement effective business cases and benefit plans.
  • Prince2 and MSP: Prince2 and MSP accreditation, or a similar relevant qualification.
