Job Title: Neonatal Staff Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Neonatal Staff Nurse to join our dedicated team at the NHS. As a key member of our nursing team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, family-centred care to our patients.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualised patient care, demonstrating advanced clinical skills and supervising the work of others.
  • Contribute to the management of the clinical area, utilising effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Act as a mentor, teaching and supervising junior staff, including student nurses, student midwives, and healthcare support workers.
  • Participate in the development of care plans, assessing, planning, organising, and coordinating care needs for a total patient group.
Requirements:
  • RSCN / RN Child / RM / RN with current registration.
  • Neonatal Intensive Care Course (formerly ENB 405) or equivalent.
  • Mentor Course (formerly ENB 998/997) or equivalent.
  • Diploma/Degree in a relevant field.
  • Enhanced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Course (ENNP).
Person Specification:
  • Significant experience as a Band 5 staff nurse within neonatal care.
  • Significant post Neonatal Intensive Care Course (formerly ENB 405).
  • Evidence of recent studies in a relevant field.
  • Neonatal Advanced Life Support.
  • Facilitating and teaching students.
Disclosure and Barring Service Check:

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such, it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.

Salary: £37,338 to £44,962 per annum plus HCAS.
