Job Description

Role Overview

Ink Search is representing a global commodities trading organisation seeking a Specialist Murex Flex Developer to be responsible for the overall integration of the Murex trading platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with the Murex Flex module and a strong background in quantitative finance and object-oriented programming.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the integration of the Murex trading platform
  • Integrate new product types within the Murex application using the Flex module
  • Develop and implement relevant pricing models based on product descriptions
  • Ensure integration with standard reports such as expiry, fixings, barriers monitoring, scenarios, value at risk, etc.
  • Serve as the in-house expert on Murex APIs, ensuring flawless integration with upstream and downstream exchanges
  • Deliver bespoke spreadsheets to the trading desks
  • Implement a generic trade booking interface on the web for easy booking of bespoke Flex trades into the system
  • Collaborate with Risk IT to optimize API calls for data production purposes such as scenarios or VaR

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience in integrating and developing on the Murex platform, using the Flex module and Murex API
  • Strong understanding of stochastic processes and option valuation models
  • Proficiency in low-level programming languages such as C++ and Java
  • Experience with the Murex Scripting environment
  • Deep knowledge of Murex APIs and integration techniques

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a commodity trading environment
  • Certification in relevant Murex modules
  • Experience with API optimization and integration for data production
