The ideal candidate will become part of a skilled and cohesive team, engaging directly with talented peers to prepare a variety of cuisines at the highest quality.

You will work with premium ingredients and be responsible for the daily preparation and service of meals for the Royal Household and its staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in meal preparation across all kitchen sectors for internal staff, Royal events, and special occasions, ensuring the highest quality.
  • Collaborate with Senior chefs to design seasonal menus that incorporate products sourced from local estates.
  • Travel to various locations as necessary, maintaining consistent standards at each site.
  • Take ownership of your designated section, ensuring all production requirements are met and promptly communicating any stock or equipment issues to the Head Chef or Chef in Charge.
  • Work closely with all kitchen divisions to ensure efficient service, stepping in as needed for the Chef in charge.
  • Uphold cleanliness and safety standards in kitchen areas and equipment, in compliance with Hygiene Regulations.

Candidate Profile

  • Hold a City and Guilds catering qualification (or equivalent).
  • Demonstrate competence across all kitchen sections: Larder, Vegetables, Sauces, and Pastry, showcasing adaptability and skill.
  • Work collaboratively within a team, promoting a supportive, positive, and flexible environment.
  • Communicate effectively to facilitate smooth operations and coordination within the kitchen.
  • Possess a solid understanding of health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Exhibit strong planning and organizational abilities, managing kitchen tasks with precision.
  • Show initiative and the capacity for independent decision-making, fostering innovation and problem-solving.
  • Maintain awareness of legislative requirements, ensuring compliance and operational integrity.
  • Display a willingness to learn and grow, embracing opportunities for professional development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in high-end catering operations, particularly in Corporate or City contract catering settings.
  • Familiarity with both large-scale catering and classical French cuisine is advantageous.
