Key Responsibilities:
Driving Duties:
- Facilitate transportation services for residents.
- Assist residents with special needs during transit, including carrying items, opening doors, and providing support during boarding and alighting.
- Maintain concentration on driving; delegate tasks and interactions to on-board support staff while the vehicle is in motion. Personal mobile phone use is prohibited during driving.
- Foster positive relationships with residents at all times.
- Adhere to safety, loss prevention, and infection control protocols.
- Possess a solid understanding of the local area and traffic patterns to accurately estimate travel times and plan suitable routes, prioritizing resident safety.
- Report any changes in residents' health, both physical and mental, to the relevant coordinators.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the activities team and engage in the activities program when not driving.
- Respond promptly to requests and concerns from residents, family members, and colleagues.
- Uphold the confidentiality of residents' information at all times.
- Notify coordinators of any resident-related concerns.
- Document and review Maintenance Logs and Daily Logs for any needs or requests.
- Train team members on driver assistance procedures and safety as required.
- Comply with Highway Code regulations and company policies.
- Ensure that risk assessments for the safe operation of community vehicles are up-to-date.
- Assist with planning outings and provide necessary information for the monthly activities calendar.

To excel in this position, you must be at least 21 years old and possess a PCV license with a Cat D1.
