Fawkes & Reece (North) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a portfolio of outcomes within the programme. The successful candidate will work closely with the client, Northumbria Water, to drive the operational strategy and deliver exceptional results.
About the Role
As the Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for inspiring excellence in a dynamic delivery team, forging strong partnerships that support our ambitious goals and desired outcomes. You will work with Senior Responsible Owners and Tactical Planning Managers from the client to clearly define the investment area outcomes to be delivered.
Key Responsibilities
- Definition of Outcomes: Collaborate with the client to define the investment area outcomes to be delivered.
- Efficient Delivery: Design and promote efficient programme delivery, while managing opportunities, risks, and maintaining compliance.
- Culture of High Performance: Foster a culture of high performance within the delivery team.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in strategic planning, and mobilisation of large programmes. You will also have extensive experience in the water sector and an in-depth understanding of how the industry works. A high level of financial acumen is required, with experience of managing budgets in excess of £100 million.
Desirable Experience
It would be beneficial to have an understanding of OFWAT and the associated regulatory requirements. A Programme Management qualification such as MSP Practitioner and knowledge of project management knowledge areas as detailed in A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK Guide) - Fifth Edition would also be advantageous.
