We are seeking a skilled Payroll Officer to join our team at JHE & Partners, a reputable business in the education sector. As a Payroll Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our payroll processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of customer monthly payroll operations, ensuring that each payroll process is executed in full.
- Ensure staff members are paid correctly and on time.
- Experience in HMRC requirements and compliance.
- Produce reports, analyzing and interpreting payroll data.
- Update payroll systems with up-to-date rates, including pay rates, allowance values, pension deductions, NI rates, and tax thresholds.
- Process maternity, paternity, and shared parental pay calculations in line with our company policies and expectations.
- Experience with end-to-end payroll processing.
- Ability to perform manual calculations.
- CIPP certification is desired but not essential.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in payroll, preferably in the education sector.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
