Packing Operative Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Packing Operative. As a key member of our packing team, you will play a crucial role in the preparation, packaging, and despatch of our eco-friendly refill products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Filling and Packaging: Accurately fill, label, and pack products, including liquids and powders, to ensure high-quality standards.
  • Order Preparation: Prepare, package, and despatch orders with precision, meeting customer expectations and deadlines.
  • Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organised packing area, ensuring hygiene and safety standards are met.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the team to ensure smooth and efficient product despatch, communicating effectively to resolve any issues.
  • Stock Management: Monitor stock levels of packaging and labels, liaising with the purchasing team as needed to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain equipment and tools in proper working condition, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all deliveries are packed according to instructions provided by the Fill Project Manager and Production Office.
  • Process Improvement: Actively contribute ideas for process improvement, enhancing our packing and despatch operations.
About You:
  • Self-Motivation: Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic, demonstrating a genuine interest in sustainability and the refillable product movement.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude, with the ability to multitask and handle various tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical Fitness: Physical fitness, including the ability to lift containers up to 25kg, with a strong commitment to maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
  • Health and Safety: Good knowledge of Health and Safety (or willingness to learn), with a focus on maintaining a safe working environment.
