Position Overview:
A Senior Quantity Surveyor (MEP) is sought to join a leading Principal Contractor on a significant infrastructure project. This is a permanent role offering flexible/hybrid working arrangements.

Location: North West London (Acton/Old Oak Common)
Compensation: Competitive salary starting from £65K plus a car allowance and an attractive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will oversee the commercial aspects of MEP fit-out projects, ensuring effective contract and subcontract management. Responsibilities include:
  • Management of commercial teams engaged in contract administration and supply chain oversight.
  • Maintaining comprehensive commercial documentation and control.
  • Cost management and financial reporting, including completion of the Cost and Loss Report (CLR).
  • Planning and programme management to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Preparation and review of subcontract documentation and tender submissions.

Required Experience:
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A solid background in the construction sector with a proven track record of success.
  • Experience with NEC Contracts.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen.
  • Excellent negotiation and teamwork skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Experience in drafting contractual correspondence and facilitating collaborative solutions.
  • Proficiency in setting up and managing office systems for document control.
  • Ability to take technical minutes at meetings and prepare comprehensive reports.
  • In-depth knowledge of legal and contractual frameworks within the construction industry.
  • Experience in developing procurement and contract strategies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
