Our client, a leading organization in the service sector, is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to champion safety practices and drive compliance.
In this role, you will shape safety culture by providing professional advice, guidance, and assistance to senior management and operational staff. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring that risk assessments are thorough and effective, and you will oversee risk assessments across all departments, maintaining an up-to-date register of competent risk assessors.
You will play a key role in identifying and mitigating risks associated with various activities, ensuring that robust emergency plans and arrangements are in place and regularly tested.
Your attention to detail will contribute to the safety and well-being of all personnel, and you will foster strong relationships with Health and Safety professionals across the business and partner organizations.
You will also be responsible for implementing and reviewing our Asbestos policy, utilizing your knowledge of asbestos-related regulations and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective health and safety strategies to minimize risks and ensure compliance.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to senior management and operational staff on health and safety matters.
- Oversee risk assessments across all departments, maintaining an up-to-date register of competent risk assessors.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with various activities, ensuring robust emergency plans and arrangements are in place.
- Implement and review our Asbestos policy, utilizing your knowledge of asbestos-related regulations and procedures.
- NEBOSH or equivalent HSE qualification.
- Proven professional experience in occupational Health and Safety management, preferably within the service sector.
- Experience in managing both a directly employed workforce and sub-contractors.
- Working knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015.
