Senior Financial Risk Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Risk Manager to join our team at Together Financial Services Limited. As a key member of our risk management team, you will be responsible for overseeing first-line financial, strategic, and climate risk management.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain financial risk registers to monitor key risks and feed into our ALCO committee.
- Review and develop our financial risk policy, setting and managing financial risk appetites, and reporting risk profiles through governance.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure risk profiles, appetites, and metrics provide suitable oversight and assurance to our Executive and Board for strategic and climate risk types.
- Produce risk profiles for Executive and Board risk committees, working with first-line teams to ensure all material risks are identified and mitigating actions are defined and progressed.
- Set risk appetites and risk appetite metrics via the Board.
- Develop suitable Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) with business stakeholders for financial, strategic, and climate risk management across the business.
- Provide second-line risk profile impact assessments of financial plans, including budget, reforecasts, and strategic plans.
- Contribute to the overall continuous development of risk management and our company's risk appetites.
- A recognized accountancy or financial risk management qualification.
- Experience in accountancy, external audit, and/or financial risk and/or prudential risk (risk assurance, risk consulting).
- Ability to engage and build relationships with senior stakeholders, with confidence to challenge.
- The ability to identify trends and interpret data from multiple sources and investigate anomalies and unusual patterns/activities.
- Effective problem-solving skills and ability to make recommendations based on findings, considering commercial and customer implications.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate complex issues/analysis up to Board level and interact with other teams across the business both verbally and in writing.
