Compensation: Up to £47,000 OTE (£30,000 - £41,000 based on experience and qualifications, plus an uncapped bonus of £6,000)

Working Hours: (42) Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm, with alternate Saturdays 8:30am - 12:30pm

Lookers is seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to enhance our dynamic workshop team. Collaborating with seasoned professionals, you will be instrumental in performing comprehensive vehicle diagnostics, executing routine maintenance, and addressing various repair needs.

At Lookers, you will be guided by a knowledgeable aftersales manager who will provide continuous support, ensuring you have the necessary resources to excel in your position. Our technicians are crucial to our Service team, delivering exceptional customer service consistently. We invite qualified Automotive Technicians or experienced Mechanics, whether from a dealership or independent workshop, to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting thorough vehicle diagnostics utilizing state-of-the-art technology
  • Performing vehicle servicing in line with manufacturer specifications and customer preferences
  • Executing additional repairs upon customer authorization
  • Completing warranty repairs according to manufacturer guidelines, ensuring accurate documentation
  • Conducting road tests to confirm all issues have been resolved
  • Maintaining high standards in all relevant paperwork

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or an equivalent qualification, along with relevant experience in the automotive industry (either brand-specific or non-brand). A full and valid UK driving licence is essential. You should be self-driven, capable of supporting your team, ambitious, eager to learn, and committed to upholding the highest standards for all vehicles serviced.

While prior brand experience is advantageous, it is not mandatory, as we provide brand accreditation training. Experience in diagnostics, MOT testing, and electric vehicles is also preferred but not essential.
