Position: Senior Tax Consultant

Role Summary:
The Senior Tax Consultant will play a pivotal role within our Finance department, focusing on various aspects of property taxation to assist the Group Head of Tax. This position requires a proactive approach to tax compliance and advisory services across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Act as a tax business partner, addressing compliance and advisory needs across the Group.
2. Enhance tax awareness and knowledge by collaborating with business units and tax partners.
3. Support the Group Head of Tax and Group Finance/Risk functions, providing assistance as necessary.
4. Manage indirect tax risks, ensuring accurate return filings and addressing inquiries and audits from tax authorities while adhering to deadlines.
5. Prepare and review indirect tax returns, including VAT and CIS, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
6. Conduct ledger account reconciliations to guarantee precise reporting of indirect taxes.
7. Develop detailed VAT documentation to support tax returns and compliance efforts.
8. Liaise with group and divisional finance teams regarding indirect tax issues.
9. Stay informed about regulatory changes and assess their implications for indirect tax compliance.
10. Prepare budgets for indirect taxes and provide accurate forecasts for tax planning.
11. Offer ad hoc indirect tax advisory support as supply chain modifications occur, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:
- ACA or equivalent qualification with relevant post-qualification experience in Industry, HMRC, or an accounting firm.
- Familiarity with COINS or other indirect tax software is advantageous.
- Proficient IT skills, including a strong command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), with the ability to adapt to new systems.
