Position Overview

The Senior Financial Reporting Specialist will play a pivotal role in the financial reporting team, collaborating closely with the Financial Reporting Manager. This position is ideal for an Assistant Accountant seeking career progression or an experienced Accountant/Management Accountant desiring a new challenge in a dynamic and expanding organization.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Managing and coordinating the annual external audits for UK entities and the Group.
  • Engaging with international auditors and overseeing audit processes.
  • Preparing statutory financial statements in accordance with relevant GAAP standards.
  • Collaborating with the tax department to provide precise financial data for disclosures and tax submissions.
  • Overseeing year-end and half-year reporting to the Group.
  • Managing potential audit adjustments and reconciling retained earnings.
  • Preparing and reviewing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Assisting the finance team during month-end closing and conducting financial analysis.

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess approximately three years of experience in accounting, reporting, and finance. Strong communication skills and teamwork are essential, along with advanced proficiency in Excel. Familiarity with SUN Financials and/or experience in the Oil and Gas sector is preferred but not mandatory.
