Cooper Lomaz Recruitment Ltd is excited to partner with a leading global treatment organization in search of a proficient Mechanical Engineer to enhance their dynamic Operations team.

This role presents a remarkable opportunity to collaborate with a prominent design firm, ensuring mechanical compliance and excellence across various projects within the water treatment industry.


Key Responsibilities:
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be instrumental in the successful execution of engineering initiatives.

Your core responsibilities will encompass:

Design & Customization:
Develop and tailor water treatment systems according to project requirements, ensuring timely and effective implementation.

Project Coordination:
Work alongside Project and Engineering Managers to set timelines, adhere to deadlines, and oversee engineering expenditures.

Technical Collaboration:

Act as the Mechanical Engineering liaison between clients and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle, covering proposals, design, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning.


Supplier Oversight:
Prepare RFQ packages, assess quotations, assist in contract discussions, and supervise the technical aspects of supplier deliveries.

Documentation Management:
Oversee, review, and distribute technical documents, including design calculations, data sheets, and schematics.

Quality Control:
Participate in and validate Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) at supplier locations, ensuring adherence to project specifications.

Field Assistance:
Provide technical support to field engineers and clients, including occasional site evaluations.

Qualifications:


MSc / MEng or BSc / BEng in Mechanical Engineering or Water Technology, or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

Familiarity with British and International Standards (e.g., ASME VIII, B31.1, B31.3) and experience with specialized materials utilized in seawater desalination projects.

Capability to perform fluid hydraulics calculations, structural design and analysis, and proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, Navisworks, and MS Office applications. Experience with Bentley Systems (STAAD.Pro and AutoPIPE) is advantageous.
Membership (or progress towards membership) in a relevant engineering institution (e.g., IMechE) is highly desirable.
