Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Grounds and Hot Tub Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Darwin Escapes. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep of our company buildings and guest accommodations.

This is a permanent position requiring full-time hours, with a variable schedule that includes on-call hours, weekends, and bank holidays. Flexibility is essential to meet the needs of our business.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assisting the maintenance team with daily tasks, including repairs and maintenance of company buildings and guest accommodations.
  • Responding to maintenance requests from guests and staff in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Participating in renovation projects and attending daily maintenance tasks as assigned.
  • Completing necessary paperwork and documentation following repairs and maintenance.
  • Assisting with the cleaning and maintenance of all hot tubs on changeover days.
  • Collaborating with the grounds team to maintain the appearance of our resort to the highest standard.
  • Performing tasks such as grass cutting, strimming, edging, and weeding borders, as well as clearing pathways.
  • Ensuring the resort is kept clear and free of debris.

Requirements

Previous maintenance or grounds experience is an advantage. A positive work ethic and willingness to learn new skills are essential. A driving license and ability to drive are required for this role due to the use of site buggies and vehicles.
