About the Role:

As an Automation Engineer at GXO Logistics, Inc., you will be responsible for performing maintenance tasks, including preventative and corrective maintenance. You will ensure all spare equipment is effectively maintained, with any required repair works recorded in accordance with asset management processes.

  1. Root cause analysis of automation breakdowns and provide timely repair solutions/corrective actions to minimize disruption to the operation.
  2. Ensure all engineering activities are completed effectively and efficiently.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  1. Qualifications in electrical and mechanical engineering (minimum ONC Electrical Engineering/NVQ Level 3 – or equivalent).
  2. Previous experience in a similar environment, working with warehouse automation solutions, including Automated Guided Vehicles, conveyors, and sorters.
  3. Experience of working in a complex, fast-moving environment.
  4. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
