Job Summary:

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Loughborough. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving the technical capability within the manufacturing suites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in maintenance engineering activities throughout the production footprint to ensure optimal equipment performance and efficiency.
  • Utilize problem-solving techniques to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Complete documentation and suggest improvements to enhance the overall maintenance process.
  • Acquire services/components and manage spares efficiently to ensure timely completion of activities.
  • Ensure timely completion of all activities and training requirements to maintain compliance with EHS policies.
  • Assist in training engineering and non-engineering staff to enhance their knowledge and skills.
  • Understand emergency procedures and ensure compliance with EHS policies to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Multi-skilled engineer with expertise in electrical control and automated systems.
  • Technical skills at HND level or higher.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong understanding of lean philosophies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and effective interpersonal skills to work under pressure.
  • Alignment to COMAH standards.
