Position Overview

The Asset Based Lending (ABL) Field Examiner is responsible for conducting comprehensive due diligence activities throughout various regions, focusing primarily on asset-based lending facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform due diligence at client locations for facilities valued from £1 million to over £1 billion.
  • Collect and analyze data related to client accounts receivable, inventory, and accounts payable, along with historical performance metrics.
  • Conduct thorough testing and valuation of collateral securing loans, identifying any significant credit risks, discrepancies, and providing actionable recommendations.
  • Evaluate the integrity of accounting systems, ensuring robust controls are in place for accurate collateral reporting.
  • Prepare or verify borrowing base calculations for new and existing lending facilities.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a relevant field such as audit, banking, or insolvency.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy in data processing.
  • Exceptional report writing and communication abilities.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a knack for developing innovative solutions to challenges.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; familiarity with SQL or other programming languages is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as required for the role.
  • A commitment to ongoing training and professional development.
