We are seeking a highly skilled Telecoms Architect to join our team at the National Physical Laboratory. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the development and evolution of our in-house telecommunications networks.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deploy complex network systems using modern telecommunication technologies
- Lead on major new projects involving the delivery and integration of cutting-edge telecommunications technologies into our datacentre and wider infrastructure
- Develop and maintain strategic technology roadmaps to ensure we stay ahead of the curve for our telecommunications systems
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure our networks and capabilities are representative of the UK telecommunications landscape
- Stay up-to-date with changes and upcoming technologies that affect the national and international telecommunications landscape
- Demonstrated experience in overseeing the design and deployment of complex network systems with modern telecommunication technologies
- Experience with telecommunication network integration projects
- Understanding of NFVI technologies and deployments
- Familiarity with Nokia and Ericsson Telecommunication technologies
- Experience ensuring networks are compliant with regulatory requirements, such as the Telecommunications Security Act
- Experience managing a team of Telecommunication engineers, with specialties in both Core networks and RAN deployments
- Experience with vendor contracts and commercial agreements
