Document Risk Solutions (DRS) is a leading legal consultancy specializing in commercial contracts related to derivatives, financing, and professional agreements. We provide solutions that deliver rapid and efficient negotiation and remediation of document portfolios, trusted by banks, asset managers, hedge funds, and trading firms globally.
Established in 2009, we have a team of approximately 100 members operating from our offices in London and Newcastle. Our market-leading team is led by directors with extensive legal and industry expertise within financial services.
The OpportunityYou will join DRS as a Legal Consultant, supporting the negotiation of contracts on behalf of your assigned client within one of our dedicated teams. You will work alongside leading industry practitioners, senior lawyers, and experienced colleagues, exposed to a wide range of financial institutions.
This is a client-facing role with considerable responsibility from the outset, offering opportunities for progression within your team. You will be supported by experienced colleagues and have access to a wealth of materials, including videos, presentations, and guidance notes, available on our learning management system.
As a Legal Consultant, you will manage your workload, liaise with clients and counterparties, draft, negotiate, amend, and execute commercial contracts, and provide information and reporting for internal stakeholders and clients.
Requirements- A minimum of a 2:1 Undergraduate degree in Law or equivalent degree. A legal conversion qualification is desirable if your degree is in a different discipline.
- Interest in developing a career in Law.
- Fluent Mandarin language skills.
- Close attention to detail and strength in organization and time management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships with stakeholders and clients.
- Ability to think creatively and solve problems.
