Freight Forwarder Trainee Opportunity

Willis Global Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Freight Forwarder Trainee to join their team in the Birmingham area. As a key member of the logistics team, you will be responsible for assisting with operations across all freight forwarding import and export requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the coordination of shipments, including daily liaison with global offices, airlines, shipping lines, and hauliers.
  • Provide customers with quotations and create new bookings, maintaining all specific programs.
  • Check documentation entries and prepare customs entries for submission.
  • Track customer shipments, send arrival notices, and accurately update all schedules.
Requirements:
  • A keen interest in pursuing a career within the Supply Chain & Logistics industry.
  • Experience of working within International logistics or freight forwarding or customs clearance.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
  • IT proficiency and ability to learn new systems quickly.
