EKFB is proud to have been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood. We're seeking a Section Engineer with Highways and Structure experience for a Major Infrastructure project. This position will be based in the North Chilterns to Aylesbury Area.
Key Responsibilities- Manage junior engineers and assist the Sub Agent in construction operations.
- Supervise the site engineering team from construction to close out.
- Assist with temporary works design schemes and liaise with the Sub Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant and materials.
- Manage the site setting-out team and be responsible for the performance and development of the Site Engineers.
- Identify and resolve technical problems on site in liaison with the Sub-Agent.
- Monitor and coordinate subcontractors in the performance of their works.
We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Section Engineer with a strong background in Highways and Structures. You'll have a HNC/Degree in Construction/Civil Engineering and be working towards institute membership (ICE). You'll also have experience in utilities, earthworks, heavy structures or drainage, and hold a Mandatory CSCS Requirement and SMSTS or SSSTS certification.
