We are seeking a highly experienced On-Premise Network Engineer to join our dynamic platform team responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our hybrid network infrastructure (on-premise and cloud). This role will play a crucial part in ensuring seamless connectivity across our organization's data centers and services.

About Our Team

Our dedicated team is passionate about architecting and maintaining both on-premise and cloud-based network infrastructures. We are responsible for the physical infrastructure of our data center, general connectivity, and implementing logical extensions into various services. We also develop and support automated systems that integrate all traffic components for efficient web routing.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, design, implement, and operate hybrid network infrastructures (On-Premise, AWS, GCP).
  • Leverage infrastructure-as-code tools, with a focus on Terraform, Go, and Bash.
  • Possess a strong understanding of multi-region network topology and routing principles.
  • Gain experience with bare-metal servers, switches, routers, metal-as-a-service systems, data center environments, and configuration management frameworks.
  • Utilize IPAM for automation and effective network management.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Linux systems, managing software load balancers and reverse proxies such as HAProxy or Envoy.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team distributed across multiple time zones.
  • Be prepared to participate in an on-call rotation schedule.
Qualifications

We are seeking candidates with a proven track record of success in network engineering. A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is highly desirable. Familiarity with AWS network services like Virtual Private Cloud, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Route 53, WAF/Shield, and CloudFront is a significant advantage. Certifications such as AWS Certified Advanced Networking or other network-related certifications are also valuable assets.
