Position Overview

Talent Seed is seeking a Lead Machine Learning Engineer to join a pioneering AI platform in the MENA region. This role focuses on enhancing automated map generation through advanced data science methodologies.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in computer vision, machine learning, and the processing of geospatial data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Address challenges related to object detection, positioning, instance segmentation, and tracking.
  • Develop algorithms and models to derive various features from video data captured by mobile mapping systems and satellite imagery.
  • Implement computer vision algorithms and machine learning models effectively.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of data scientists, software developers, and product leaders to outline project specifications and deliver impactful solutions.
  • Guide junior engineers and offer technical direction in projects related to computer vision and machine learning.
  • Perform performance evaluations and optimize models for peak efficiency.
  • Keep abreast of the latest trends and breakthroughs in machine learning and computer vision technologies.

Essential Qualifications

  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in the fields of computer vision and machine learning.
  • Proficient in image processing techniques, including advanced methodologies such as projective geometry, camera localization, motion estimation, and 3D reconstruction.
  • Solid understanding and hands-on experience in designing, training, assessing, and refining Deep Learning networks.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python and C++, along with familiarity with computer vision frameworks (e.g., OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques for classification, regression, and clustering.
  • A motivated individual who actively seeks to stay updated on the latest advancements in computer vision and deep learning technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with camera localization and motion estimation using various sensor combinations.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing services (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) for extensive data processing.
