Health, Safety and ESG Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety and ESG Manager to join our team at Ice Clean. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for defining and managing our end-to-end approach to health and safety across our fleet, employees, and premises, as well as driving our ESG strategy across the business.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and stop any operation where the activity poses a serious risk to health and safety.
- Represent the company to external auditors and legal bodies, including ISO.
- Carry out H&S training where appropriate.
- Assist in the implementation and management of the environmental management systems at Ice Clean locations.
- Manage and resolve requests for information and queries from site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers, including tender documents.
- Efficiently coordinate and deploy consultants and contractors.
- Complete and document risk assessments.
- Manage permits to work/DBS checks and authorizations for access.
- Research current safety legislation and translate it into meaningful text that can be related to our activities and distributed when required.
- Maintain a comprehensive administrative Health & Safety filing system in accordance with our Health & Safety Policy.
- Be responsible for developing and overseeing environmental, social, and corporate governance policies and procedures.
- Work with all areas of the business to collate key ESG data every month and add to our ESG portal to monitor carbon footprint.
- Keep up to date with emerging policies, grants, and industry insights related to sustainability.
- Input into ESG strategy development and setting of KPIs and targets annually.
- Educated to degree level in health and safety/OSH (or equivalent), combined with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- NEBOSH Diploma or Level 5 NVQ.
- Extensive knowledge and working experience as a Health and Safety Manager, or OSH Manager within an industry position is desirable.
- Experience in the industrial cleaning machine industry would be desirable.
- Strong business acumen with a strategic aligned approach to safety objectives.
- Producing and delivering high-quality communications (presentations, reports, and emails).
- Experience of leading projects, including articulating direction and findings to senior stakeholders.
- Confidence to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of senior stakeholders, and to engage peers to achieve buy-in to the project objectives.
