We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Worker to join our team at a specialist SEN school in East Leeds.
The successful candidate will have previous experience working with individuals with Autism and/or learning difficulties, and will be committed to providing high-quality support and education to our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to students with Autism, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff to develop and implement individualized education plans.
- Support students with complex needs, including those with Autism, learning difficulties, and physical disabilities.
- Participate in Team Teach training and other professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with Autism and/or learning difficulties.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- High standard of classroom skills and ability to promote a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to collaborative working.
