Job Summary:

C&O Tractors is seeking a skilled Agricultural Equipment Specialist to join our team in Wilton. As an Agricultural Equipment Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of farm equipment and providing exceptional customer service to maximize customer retention and increase profitability.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Servicing and Repairing Equipment: Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on farm equipment, including machinery and vehicles, to ensure optimal performance and extend their lifespan.
  2. Troubleshooting and Fault-Finding: Identify and resolve technical issues with equipment, either in the workshop or during field visits, to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
  3. Compliance and Safety: Adhere to manufacturers' service and warranty procedures, as well as company Health & Safety Policy, Risk Assessments, and Safe Working Practices, to ensure a safe working environment.
  4. Administrative Tasks: Accurately record hours worked using timesheets or scanners, as applicable, and maintain a clean and organized work area to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  5. Communication and Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues and management to ensure effective communication and coordination of tasks, and provide regular updates on progress.

Personal Specification:

  1. Technical Knowledge: Possess good mechanical knowledge of vehicles and machinery, with experience in the agricultural sector being highly desirable.
  2. Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills to effectively diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  3. Teamwork and Adaptability: Be able to work independently or as part of a team, and adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
  4. Health and Safety Awareness: Have a good understanding of health and safety procedures and protocols.
  5. Driver's License: Hold a full driver's license, as regular travel is required to perform job duties.
