We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Care Assistant to provide support and care to our 16-year-old daughter, Ella-Rose, who has Dravet Syndrome. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting Ella-Rose with daily activities, accessing the community, and participating in social activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide personal care and support to Ella-Rose, including assistance with daily living tasks
- Accompany Ella-Rose to social activities, appointments, and outings
- Assist with managing Ella-Rose's seizures and administering emergency medication as required
- Communicate effectively with Ella-Rose, using clear and simple language to ensure her needs are met
- Monitor Ella-Rose's safety and well-being at all times, particularly in public areas
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities, particularly those with complex needs
- First aid training, including seizure management and administration of emergency medication
- Ability to drive and have access to a vehicle with sufficient boot space for a wheelchair
- Full DBS check and ability to work with vulnerable individuals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Competitive hourly rate of £12.00
