Job Title: HGV Class 2 Driver

We are seeking a reliable and skilled HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team in Plymouth. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely transporting palletised parcels to and from sub depots and delivery units.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Securely move and transport palletised parcels to and from sub depots and delivery units.
  • Handle runs with 1-5 delivery stops, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
  • Utilise tail lift and pump truck equipment for loading and unloading.
  • Interact with customers and represent the company in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Empty the vehicle and refuel at the end of each shift.
  • Complete a theory and practical assessment to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards and then complete a few days paid training if assessment is successful.
Requirements:
  • Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
  • Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
  • No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
  • Full understanding of WTD legislation.
  • Ability to operate tail lift and pump truck equipment.
  • Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A safety-first mindset.
