Senior HR Business Partner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior HR Business Partner to join our team at Amazon UK Services Ltd. - A10. As a key member of our HR team, you will play a critical role in delivering the HR plan for our site, working closely with Senior Operations Managers, Functional Heads, and other stakeholders to provide pragmatic, commercial, and employee-focused coaching advice and support.
Key Responsibilities- Company Culture Steward: Apply your understanding of Amazon's Leadership Principles and values when consulting with SOMs, OMs, and Functional Heads, ensuring that our leadership principles are role-modeled during interactions with associates and leaders.
- Organisational Development and Planning: Work with your operational partner to define key business goals and priorities, using data to inform your priorities and drive decision-making.
- Organisational Health: Implement projects that address workplace environment, employee engagement, or retention issues, conducting diagnostics to identify trends and environmental ER or workplace issues, and communicating findings to formulate and deploy strategic remedies.
- Workforce Planning and Recruitment: Lead on all salaried hiring, partnering with SOM/OM/Functional Heads to develop department recruiting strategies and goals, and providing data to support sourcing strategies.
- Talent Management & Development: Share information and act as a central resource for all talent practices, actively partnering SOM/OM/Functional Heads on talent development and performance improvement initiatives, and driving identification and management of forward-looking promotions.
- HR Operations: Analyze and pull reports from various HR tools, ensuring integrity of data through daily scrutiny, and using data to drive decision-making and action.
- People Management: Effectively set the direction for individuals to achieve department or function level goals, building robust launch plans for new SOM/OM/Functional Heads, and providing regular coaching and feedback to the operational team.
- People Strategy: Understand and communicate the UKOPS, UKHR, and Site HR vision to team members, possessing intimate knowledge and understanding of all core metrics, and translating these for your department of responsibility to prepare a reasoned argument to influence and drive change initiatives.
- Be qualified to Bachelor degree level or hold CIPD Level 7 qualification.
- Have significant HR experience as a senior leader, ideally within a high-volume, fast-paced, and customer-focused environment.
- Possess strong change management, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Be experienced in managing a team of HR professionals.
- Be a progressive, hands-on, and customer-obsessed individual with the credibility and gravitas to succeed in a fast-moving and customer-focused operational environment.
- Have a deep problem-solving and analytical capability, experience of managing and analyzing HR metrics to find root causes and develop short, medium, and long-term plans.
- Be able to develop effective working relationships with employees at all levels.
- Have a proven hands-on attitude, be flexible and adaptable.
- Be able to demonstrate the ability to motivate others and influence work behaviors.
- Have strong change management, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Be able to operate with discretion, reliability, and role-modeling leadership principles.
- Be able to work independently, multitask, organize, and prioritize your workload, and work to strict deadlines.
- Have a high level of attention to detail and drive yourself to deliver work to a high standard.
