Position:
HGV Class 1 Transport Operator
Working Hours:
Start times will vary, with a focus on late afternoon and night shifts.
Preferred Shift Patterns:
Multiple shift patterns available.
Weekend work can be accommodated if preferred.
Base Hourly Rate:
£17.04 per hour until 23:00
Night Rate:
£19.23 after 23:00
Overtime Compensation:
£28.85 per hour for hours exceeding 8.75 daily
Standard Weekly Hours:
46.25 hours
Breaks:
45 minutes unpaid
Key Responsibilities:
Transporting goods efficiently and punctually between various locations.
Deliveries will be made across different regions of the UK.
Evening drivers will primarily handle trunking, with occasional store overflow deliveries.
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and report any maintenance issues.
Deliver exceptional customer service consistently.
Minimum of 6 months of continuous Class 1 driving experience required.
The recruitment process includes an initial assessment involving classroom training and a 2-3 hour driving evaluation, followed by a comprehensive induction.
Drivers will be assigned to a fixed schedule.
Qualifications:
Full UK Driving License (Category C+E)
CPC Certification
Digi Card
At least 6 months of continuous Class 1 driving experience
