About the Role:
The Extracare Charitable Trust t/a Extracare Ltd is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Professional to join our team at Hughenden Gardens Village. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our residential facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake preventive maintenance duties in resident apartments and communal areas to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment.
- Manage void properties, ensuring water quality checks and general repairs are completed in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with contractors to improve knowledge of systems and ensure they adhere to risk assessments.
- Record repair requests and defects, maintaining accurate records for future reference.
- Provide a handy-person service for residents, including tasks such as picture hanging and assembling flat-pack furniture.
Requirements:
- Experience in facilities maintenance, preferably in a multi-dwelling building environment.
- Flexibility to support the scheme during emergency situations and outside of normal working hours, as required.
- Ability to take responsibility for the repairs and maintenance service with your team onsite.
- Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel to maintain a system for logging maintenance requests.
- Reliability, punctuality, and ability to work unsupervised.
- Strong communication skills, including empathy, and excellent attention to detail.
- Commitment to health and safety, with COSHH or IOSHH desirable.
