Our Lighting Division is a rapidly expanding and successful team specializing in the design, installation, refurbishment, and maintenance of lighting systems. Role Overview:

Throughout your apprenticeship, you will engage in an external training program, which consists of a full week of accredited training/NVQ each quarter at our training partner's facility. All overnight accommodations and expenses will be covered during this training.

You will work towards achieving a Level 2 apprenticeship and a Level 2 National Vocational Qualification in Highways Electrical. Upon completing your two-year training and demonstrating competence on-site, you may have the opportunity to advance to a Level 3 qualification.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborating within a small team on Street Lighting Infrastructure across various locations.

- Acquiring valuable experience and skills as an Apprentice under the guidance of an approved mentor registered under the HEA / HERS Electrical Registration Scheme or equivalent.

- Learning accredited electrical industry knowledge, receiving training and support to gain practical experience, with regular assessments conducted by your management team.

- Understanding the installation and removal processes of electrical supplies, components, street furniture, and the associated safety concerns.

- Observing how registered and competent operatives utilize scaled drawings for basic electrical installations and detailed underground cabling systems.

- Gaining experience working outdoors in various weather conditions, performing electrical installations with insulated hand tools, and using essential digging tools.

- Learning to work at height using mobile elevated working platforms, ladders, and scaffold towers.

- Participating in regular review consultations with an approved manager to discuss overall commitment and progress.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in Maths and English. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, diligent, and have a keen interest in the electrical and construction sectors. Strong communication skills and a genuine enthusiasm for learning and development are essential.
