We are seeking a dedicated physiotherapist to become a vital member of our musculoskeletal physiotherapy team on a permanent basis.

In our commitment to professional growth, we offer a comprehensive training program designed for therapists who are new to the healthcare sector, equipping them with the necessary skills to provide high-quality care that aligns with current evidence and national standards.

As a successful candidate, you will integrate into the musculoskeletal physiotherapy team, receiving guidance from experienced colleagues while collaborating with a diverse range of professionals. Our training initiatives include regular workshops, personalized supervision sessions, and various opportunities for shadowing and hands-on experience, all while managing your own caseload to reinforce your skills. New team members will benefit from a thorough induction process to facilitate their transition.

You will engage with the ACPC competency frameworks under supervision and are expected to take initiative in expanding your knowledge, clinical reasoning, and treatment methodologies when working with children. We are eager to welcome an innovative and enthusiastic individual as we aim to grow and enhance our services.

Key Responsibilities

As an independent practitioner, you will provide a specialized physiotherapy service within the children's therapy team, focusing on assessment, intervention, and guidance for children, their families, and caregivers.

Your role will involve:

  1. Developing specialized skills and knowledge through active participation, reflection, supervision, and ongoing training.
  2. Working autonomously while also being an integral part of a multidisciplinary team.
  3. Taking personal responsibility for your continued professional development (CPD).
  4. Being professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of your work, including managing an assigned patient caseload.

About Us

This is an opportunity to join a forward-thinking and innovative service within a patient-centered organization. We encourage our staff to engage in exploring new methodologies and service enhancements.

We provide established in-service training, one-on-one supervision, and regular performance reviews to ensure ongoing support.

Our team environment is friendly and supportive, allowing you to develop your skills effectively.

We value work-life balance and are open to discussing flexible working arrangements that suit both our operational needs and your personal circumstances.

Additional Information

Informal visits can be arranged upon request.

We offer a choice between two pension schemes to support your financial future.

Health and Safety Commitment

We encourage all staff to be fully vaccinated to ensure the safety of themselves, their colleagues, and the families we serve.

Responsibilities Overview

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Effective communication with patients, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals, utilizing various communication methods to share assessment results, agree on treatment plans, and provide education.
  2. Maintaining communication with health and statutory agencies regarding patient care and progress.
  3. Developing and maintaining your professional competencies through continuous learning and participation in training programs.
  4. Assessing patient understanding and ensuring informed consent for treatment.
  5. Organizing and managing your caseload to prioritize patient needs and service demands.
  6. Providing a comprehensive physiotherapy service to children in the community, including in various settings such as schools and homes.
  7. Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated care delivery.
  8. Participating in service development initiatives and adhering to organizational policies.

We look forward to welcoming a new member to our team who shares our commitment to providing exceptional care to children and their families.
