Job Title: Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Location: South Gloucestershire

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Shift: 3 shift patterns, 8-hour shifts (LL/EE/NN)

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at MDE Consultants. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out electrical and mechanical breakdown repair coverage for all manufacturing plant, executing planned preventive maintenance in line with predetermined schedules, and assisting with training Operators and Craft where necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to machine breakdowns with a view to minimising downtime and improving long-term machine reliability
  • Execute the Lead/Senior Maintenance Engineer's plan to work preventatively in addition to reactively
  • Use appropriate root cause analysis tools and 5S
  • Actively support a culture of Continuous Improvement, looking at ways to engineer out persistent problems
  • Be cost-conscious, achieving savings where possible
  • Carry out routine Planned Preventative Maintenance
  • Accurately record all maintenance tasks performed on an electronic reporting system
  • Train Operators and Craft in performing fault diagnosis and repair

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in electrical and mechanical maintenance, with experience in a manufacturing environment. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
