Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Temporary / Permanent

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Cover Supervisor to join our team at Teaching Personnel, working across secondary schools in Folkestone. This role is perfect for individuals looking to gain classroom experience or for those considering a career in teaching.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring a smooth and productive learning environment.
  • Support students with their learning, providing guidance and encouragement to ensure work is completed.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies, promoting a positive and respectful atmosphere.
  • Liaise with teaching staff to report back on student progress, providing valuable insights and feedback.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in an educational setting is desirable but not essential, as we provide comprehensive training and support.
  • A passion for working with young people and a flexible approach to work, with a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively, using positive reinforcement and de-escalation techniques.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and possession of a DBS (or be willing to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
