Job Title: Chef/Cook

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef/Cook to join our team at British Garden Centres. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook meals to a high standard, using a variety of ingredients and cooking techniques.
  • Work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment, managing multiple orders and prioritizing tasks.
  • Monitor portion sizes and waste, ensuring that we minimize our environmental impact.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure that meals are prepared and served to the highest standard.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
  • Experience of working in a busy kitchen environment, with a proven track record of preparing and cooking high-quality meals.
  • Knowledge of HACCP and food safety procedures.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, managing multiple orders and prioritizing tasks.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with other kitchen staff.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays, as required.
