Specialist Neurological Physiotherapist, Band 6

We are pleased to announce a rewarding opportunity within our neurological therapy department at The Hillingdon Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Our dedicated neurological therapy team is committed to delivering expert care to patients with neurological conditions, including those recovering from strokes and other complex neurological disorders.

We seek a passionate and driven physiotherapist to engage with a diverse range of neurological patients, such as those with stroke, spinal cord injuries, and traumatic brain injuries. As a crucial member of our multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate with experienced therapy professionals and have the chance to enhance your neurorehabilitation expertise while contributing to service innovation.

The neurotherapy team operates cohesively across various clinical settings, providing you with the opportunity to rotate among different areas and actively participate in the delivery of specialized services. We are also considering options for community-based rotations to further enrich your experience.

Key Responsibilities

To autonomously manage a defined caseload of intricate cases, demonstrating advanced problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, and sound judgment while working independently. To conduct comprehensive physiotherapeutic evaluations of patients with varied presentations and complex physical conditions, synthesizing assessment results to formulate and implement tailored treatment plans. To fulfill all clinical responsibilities as an independent practitioner.

Candidate Profile

Education and Qualifications

Essential

Diploma or Degree in Physiotherapy Current HCPC registration

Desirable

MSc/Postgraduate qualification in neurology

Experience

Essential

Proven experience and skill consolidation in neuro rehabilitation or stroke rehabilitation. Inpatient experience as Band 5 in other core physiotherapy areas, including respiratory, rehabilitation, orthopaedics, and on-call duties.
