Aircraft Maintenance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aircraft Maintenance Manager to join our team at Qualitair Aviation Group, a Randstad Company, in Manchester.
- Deliver maintenance inputs, projects, and company initiatives to schedule, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
- Support the Base Maintenance Management team as required, providing guidance and expertise to ensure seamless operations.
- Lead a team of staff within their area of responsibility, providing coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities to enhance their skills and performance.
- Issue certificates of release to service for specific aircraft types, adhering to QA044 Staff Authorisation Document limitations.
- Maintain a log of progress against tasks, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
- Provide daily production briefings, keeping stakeholders informed of progress and any challenges.
- Update senior management as required, ensuring they are aware of any issues or concerns.
- Develop solutions to deliver maintenance within budget constraints, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
- Ensure a daily progress report is issued for aircraft under maintenance, providing visibility and transparency.
- Conduct formal appraisals of hangar floor staff, identifying areas for further training and development.
- Carry out DQS self-audit in line with base maintenance procedures, ensuring compliance and quality standards.
- Assist with quality audits and support the implementation of robust closure plans, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the Head of Base Maintenance to create and manage budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation.
Requirements:
- Category B licensed engineers must hold C certification by aircraft type.
- Minimum of 5 years Base Maintenance experience as a B1 and/or B2 certifying engineer.
- Good working knowledge of Part 145 Aviation Legislation.
- Flexible approach to working in a fast-changing environment.
- Excellent communication, management, and interpersonal skills.
