Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer to join our team at PPM Recruitment. As a Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out PPM, servicing, fault finding, and reactive/breakdown repairs to air conditioning systems & equipment, including VRV, VRF, Splits, Cooling systems, and AHU & FCU within commercial/corporate buildings & industrial facilities located throughout Northampton and Cambridgeshire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out PPM, servicing, fault finding, and reactive/breakdown repairs to air conditioning systems & equipment
  • Travel to Slough and Kent once a month
  • Carry out general building services tasks, including fabric maintenance and basic plumbing as required

Requirements:

  • City & Guilds and/or NVQ in Air Conditioning/Refrigeration
  • City & Guilds F-Gas (CAT 1)
  • Recognised Air Conditioning/Refrigeration/HVAC apprenticeship
  • Additional Qualifications, i.e., City & Guilds 18th Edition IEE and/or ACS Gas
  • Driving License

  • Call-out rota working is essential (approx. 1 - 5, very little callout due to predominately office sites)
  • Call-out runs from Friday - Friday
  • Pension Scheme (Contributory)
  • £77.00 paid for being on call
  • If called out, paid at a minimum of 4 hours
  • 30-minute travel time each way
  • 25 days holiday + statutory days + Birthday
  • The ability to pass a DBS/CRB check (please do not apply if likely to fail the necessary background checks)
  • 40 hours a week paid, but only work 39 hours, finishing at 3:30 PM on Fridays
  • CPD actively sponsored
