About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join BMT as a Safety and Environmental Legislation Consultant, supporting the growth of our Safety and Environmental discipline. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering safety and environmental legislative projects, enhancing our capabilities in relation to safety and environmental legislation within the Defence sector and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of legislative projects to schedule and budget, meeting client and corporate expectations.
- Maintain and update legislative tools and author material to define and capture legislation activities.
- Support senior colleagues with business development activities and liaise with clients and end users on safety and environmental legislative compliance issues.
About You
We are seeking a highly motivated and flexible individual with a strong background in statutory safety and environmental legislation. The ideal candidate will have a relevant qualification in a legal subject, a minimum of two years' legislative experience, and a recognized safety or environmental qualification. Experience in the UK Defence domains, particularly maritime, would be advantageous.

Security Clearance
You must be able to satisfy UK Ministry of Defence security requirements and be eligible to work in the UK to be considered for this role.
