About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as an Accommodation Support Officer. As a key member of our social work team, you will work closely with probation practitioners to provide tailored support to adult males within a custodial or community environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of participants, producing personalized accommodation plans to meet their unique needs.
  • Conduct thorough initial assessments, considering risk, situation, and need to inform effective support strategies.
  • Record progress and outcomes accurately using our case management system, ensuring seamless communication with stakeholders.
  • Maintain regular contact with participants, identifying and addressing emerging risks or concerns to ensure their safety and well-being.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with excellent interpersonal skills, able to build and maintain professional relationships with participants and stakeholders. You should be a positive role model, capable of encouraging and supporting participants to make positive changes in their attitudes and behavior.

Requirements
  • Desirable: Experience or knowledge of accommodation services, including relevant legislation.
  • Essential: Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with participants and external stakeholders.
  • Desirable: Experience or knowledge of the Criminal Justice System.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
