About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transport First Line Manager to join our Customer Fulfilment Centre team. As a key member of our Transport Team, you will be responsible for managing a team of Drivers and ensuring the smooth operation of our Transport operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of Drivers to achieve productivity and key customer service levels within cost targets.
  • Ensure all Legal, Health and Safety, EU Driving Regulations and Operational procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • Support the delivery of the Business Plan by setting and achieving specific measurable targets for the team.
  • Maximise productivity and manage the usage of overtime and agency to improve costs.
  • Effectively communicate operational and business plans and changes to all Partners.
  • Implement new projects to improve the efficiency of the operation and improve branch service.
  • Performance Manage all Partners within the team to ensure the achievement of operational targets.

Requirements:

  • Excellent Transport knowledge of current EU and Working Time regulations.
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence, with a maximum of 6 penalty points.
  • Experience of working in a management role in a Transport / Distribution environment.
  • A good understanding of Health and Safety legislation.
  • Experience of dealing with full disciplinary procedures.
