DBT's marketing division is presenting a unique opportunity for an Assistant Manager for Marketing Initiatives to contribute to its acclaimed and innovative international marketing efforts within a vibrant and motivated marketing team.

The Assistant Manager will engage with the GREAT Global Trade and Investment (GTI) campaign, which is the UK Government's premier international marketing initiative. The GTI positions the UK as a top-tier destination for foreign buyers and investors, forming a key component of the Government's renowned GREAT Britain and Northern Ireland campaign, which showcases the best of our nation to inspire global engagement and encourage visits, business investments, and educational pursuits in the UK.

Role Responsibilities

The position will enable you to participate in a diverse array of projects across the marketing spectrum, from traditional advertising and public relations campaigns to cost-effective strategies, playing a crucial role in campaign development and execution while taking individual responsibility for leading projects and work streams.

Key Responsibilities may include:

  • Assist in the digital marketing strategy to achieve campaign goals and help lead the implementation of multi-channel campaigns, ensuring brand consistency and a seamless customer experience.
  • Collaborate closely with media and creative agencies to execute campaign initiatives.
  • Manage various stakeholders from different areas to ensure timely and high-quality campaign execution.
  • Support key campaign activities in international markets, keeping the target audience at the forefront of all efforts.
  • Conduct research to create engaging content that supports the campaign across platforms such as Twitter and LinkedIn.
  • Track content performance across multiple channels and provide data-driven insights for optimization.
  • Assist with email marketing, including content creation and data segmentation.
  • Support campaign initiatives around events through effective digital and offline strategies.
  • Act as a point of contact for gathering success stories about investments and exporting businesses from across the department, facilitating their use in DBT's communications and marketing outputs.
  • Provide administrative support, such as organizing team meetings, taking minutes, and compiling team activities into regular updates using tools like Microsoft Office.

  • Outstanding copywriting abilities for social media, website content, and other marketing materials.
  • Capability to manage multiple campaigns and projects across various paid media channels.
  • Effective communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Understanding of marketing campaigns with experience across a range of communication disciplines, including digital marketing, public relations, advertising, and partnership marketing.
  • Proactive, responsible, and self-managing.
  • An enthusiastic approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Administrative experience.
