About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Trading Operations Specialist to join our team at Black Swan Group. As a Physical Commodities Operations Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our Energy Trading Physical Commodities Operations team in London.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Energy Trading Physical Commodities Operations team with day-to-day trade management across Gas and Power trading activities and risk management.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to drive operational excellence, efficiencies, and cost savings.
  • Collaborate with the trading desk to ensure accurate and timely trade capture, trade enrichment, and trade life cycle management.
  • Work closely with the Middle Office team to ensure seamless trade operations and risk management.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience in a fast-paced Gas, Power, Energy Commodities Middle Office Trading Operations environment, preferably with a Hedge Fund, Tier 1 Investment Bank, or top-tier Investment Manager or High Frequency Trading Firm.
  • Strong product knowledge across Gas & Power Physical Commodities / Exchange Traded Commodity Operations.
  • Proven experience in leading projects and process improvements to drive operational excellence, efficiencies, and cost savings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
